TEACHER SPOTLIGHT

MEGHAN SALTER

Meghan currently teaches special education at Martha Elementary in Cabell County.  Though based at Martha, Meghan teaches at multiple schools in the county’s gifted program.  She attends numerous trainings dedicated to teaching students about drone technology, but also works on creating scenarios for real-world problem solving.

In her own words, Meghan explains why she loves teaching:

“I love being a teacher because life my job is never boring. I am a lifelong learner and hope to instill this love of learning to my students. I really have a passion for getting technology into the hands of students at a younger age. I love doing 3D printing, drones, computer coding and all things science with my students. We love experimenting, making messes, and building things. I love being a teacher because I want to be that one person who hopefully makes a difference and inspires children to love learning, to make mistakes, but most importantly, learn from them. I believe that you should never stop learning, because life never stops teaching.”

When she’s not teaching, Meghan enjoys time at home with her husband, Kenny, and their four cats.
